Comparison of liver scintigraphy and the liver-spleen contrast in Gd-EOB-DTPA-enhanced MRI on liver function tests

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
The liver-spleen contrast (LSC) using hepatobiliary-phase images could replace the receptor index (LHL15) in liver scintigraphy; however, few comparative studies exist. This study aimed to verify the convertibility from LSC into LHL15.

Tracking of [14C]Polystyrene Nanoplastics in Pregnant Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates [14C]polystyrene nanoplastic ([14C]PS) translocation in late‐stage pregnant mice after intranasal (0.5 mg of [14C]PS on GD12, GD14, and GD16, n = 6) and intravenous administration (1.5 mg of [14C]PS on GD16, n = 6). 14C‐radiolabel allows quantitative tracking of unmodified polystyrene nanoplastics.

Controller Synthesis from LSC Requirements [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Live Sequence Charts (LSCs) is a visual requirements language for specifying reactive system behavior. When modeling and designing open reactive systems, it is often essential to have a guarantee that the requirements can be satisfied under all possible circumstances.

Unraveling the Synergistic Activity‐Stability Enhancement of a High‐Entropy Perovskite Air Electrode for Dual Ceramic Electrochemical Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A high‐entropy air electrode material, Gd0.2Pr0.2Ba0.2Sr0.2Ca0.2FeO3−δ (GPBSCF), is developed for both solid oxide fuel cells and reversible protonic ceramic cells. Its enhanced activity stems from increased oxygen vacancies/holes. The stability improvement is attributed to lattice distortion, while thermal expansion reduction is synergistically due to

State-dependent filtering as a mechanism toward visual robustness

open access: yesFrontiers in Computational Neuroscience
Robustness, defined as a system's ability to maintain functional reliability in the face of perturbations, is achieved through its capacity to filter external disturbances using internal priors encoded in its structure and states.

Normal hematopoietic stem cells within the AML bone marrow have a distinct and higher ALDH activity level than co-existing leukemic stem cells.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
Persistence of leukemic stem cells (LSC) after chemotherapy is thought to be responsible for relapse and prevents the curative treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients.
