GDC-Based Infiltrated Electrodes for Solid Oxide Electrolyzer Cells (SOECs)

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
In this work, porous complex and metal-free cathodes based on a (La0.6Sr0.4) (Cr0.5Mn0.5) O3 (LSCM) screen-printed backbone infiltrated with Ce0.9Gd0.1O2 (GDC) were fabricated for solid oxide electrolyzer cells.

Elimination of Fusobacterium nucleatum With Biomimetic Nanoparticles to Reverse Tumor Immunosuppression and Enhance Colorectal Cancer Therapy

open access: yesExploration, EarlyView.
Tumor‐related pathogenic bacteria can affect the treatment efficiency of tumors. Therefore, we have designed a nanoparticle that can accurately target tumor cells and related pathogenic bacteria, reverse the immunosuppressive effect of pathogenic bacteria on tumors, and synergistically enhance tumor treatment efficiency through sonodynamic therapy ...

Autofluorescence spectroscopy and imaging of Platymonas subcordiformis irradiated by diode laser based on LSCM [PDF]

open access: yesScanning, 2008
AbstractAutofluorescence spectra and optical imaging of Platymonas subcordiformis after irradiation of diode laser were observed via laser scanning confocal microscopy (LSCM). With 488 nm Ar+ laser excitation, the horizontal and vertical dimensions of a cup‐shaped chloroplast of the irradiation group increased about 10% compared with the control group.

Advances in deep‐tissue fluorescence imaging through optical clearing: A review

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
Optical clearing refers to techniques that are used to improve the optical transparency of biological tissues. Optical clearing enables imaging of deeper lying tissues as well as 3D volumetric imaging of whole organs. This review examines reports on the integration of optical clearing with advanced fluorescence imaging techniques, with particular ...

Using confocal microscopy and image processing to measure properties of sub‐resolution cell structures: Application to cardiac transverse tubules

open access: yesJournal of Microscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Confocal microscopes increase the resolution of images by rejecting unwanted data from the out of focus regions of the specimen. This incurs a penalty in the recorded signal to noise ratio that may be partially ameliorated by inputting additional information during image processing.
