LSER-based modeling vapor pressures of (solvent+salt) systems by application of Xiang-Tan equation

Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering, 2015
Abstract The study deals with modeling the vapor pressures of (solvent + salt) systems depending on the linear solvation energy relation (LSER) principles. The LSER-based vapor pressure model clarifies the simultaneous impact of the vapor pressure of a pure solvent estimated by the Xiang-Tan equation, the solubility and solvatochromic parameters of ...

Comments regarding “predicting the equilibrium partitioning of organic compounds using just one linear solvation energy relationship (LSER)”

Fluid Phase Equilibria, 2005
Mathematical expressions are presented for describing the partition coefficients and Ostwald coefficients of solutes dissolved in 18 organic solvents based on the linear solvation energy relationship suggested by Goss.

Limiting Activity Coefficients and Gas–Liquid Partition Coefficients of Various Solutes in Piperidinium Ionic Liquids: Measurements and LSER Calculations

The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2011
This paper is a continuation of our systematic investigations on piperidinium ionic liquids and presents new data on activity coefficients at infinite dilution for 43 solutes: linear and branched alkanes, cycloalkanes, alkenes, alkynes, benzene, alkylbenzenes, alcohols, water, thiophene, tetrahyrdofuran (THF), methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE), linear ...

Linear Solvation Energy Relationship (LSER) Analysis of Liquid–Liquid Distribution Constants of 8-Hydroxyquinoline and Its Derivatives

Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data, 2011
The linear solvation energy relationship (LSER) analysis of liquid–liquid distribution constants of 8-hydroxyquinoline and its derivatives has been performed in terms of hydrophobicity of solutes, property parameters of diluents in the organic phase, and ionic strength of the aqueous phase. The effect of temperature has been also discussed.

Mechanistic inferences from empirical and LSER modeling approaches concerning sorption of organic compounds by pristine and aged PE microplastics

Chemosphere
This study investigates the effect of aging of polyethylene (PE) microplastics (MP) on its interaction with organic compounds (OCs). Initially, pristine PE MPs were subjected to UV-aging, followed by characterization of their chemical structure and thermal properties.
