Molecular drivers of insecticide resistance in the Sahelo-Sudanian populations of a major malaria vector Anopheles coluzzii

open access: yesBMC Biology, 2023
Background Information on common markers of metabolic resistance in malaria vectors from countries sharing similar eco-climatic characteristics can facilitate coordination of malaria control. Here, we characterized populations of the major malaria vector

The role of rhizobial (NifV) and plant (FEN1) homocitrate synthases in Aeschynomene/photosynthetic Bradyrhizobium symbiosis

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
In the most studied rhizobium-legume interactions, the host plant supplies the symbiont with homocitrate, an essential co-factor of the nitrogenase enzyme complex, via the expression of a nodule-specific homocitrate synthase FEN1.

LSTM with working memory

open access: yes2017 International Joint Conference on Neural Networks (IJCNN), 2017
Previous RNN architectures have largely been superseded by LSTM, or "Long Short-Term Memory". Since its introduction, there have been many variations on this simple design. However, it is still widely used and we are not aware of a gated-RNN architecture that outperforms LSTM in a broad sense while still being as simple and efficient.

High insecticide resistance in the major malaria vector Anopheles coluzzii in Chad Republic

open access: yesInfectious Diseases of Poverty, 2019
Background The Sahel region of Chad Republic is a prime candidate for malaria pre-elimination. To facilitate pre-elimination efforts in this region, two populations of Anopheles coluzzii from Central Chad Republic were characterized, their insecticide ...

Influence of Non-Thermal Plasma Treatment on Structural Network Attributes of Wheat Flour and Respective Dough

open access: yesFoods, 2023
Due to its “generally recognized as safe status” (GRAS) and moderate treatment temperatures, non-thermal plasma (NTP) has lately been considered a suitable replacement for chemicals in the modification of food properties and for preserving food quality ...

Time Series Prediction Based on LSTM-Attention-LSTM Model

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
Time series forecasting uses data from the past periods of time to predict future information, which is of great significance in many applications. Existing time series forecasting methods still have problems such as low accuracy when dealing with some non-stationary multivariate time series data forecasting.

LSTM CCG Parsing [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 2016 Conference of the North American Chapter of the Association for Computational Linguistics: Human Language Technologies, 2016
We demonstrate that a state-of-the-art parser can be built using only a lexical tagging model and a deterministic grammar, with no explicit model of bi-lexical dependencies. Instead, all dependencies are implicitly encoded in an LSTM supertagger that assigns CCG lexical categories.

Transcriptomic profiling of Burkholderia phymatum STM815, Cupriavidus taiwanensis LMG19424 and Rhizobium mesoamericanum STM3625 in response to Mimosa pudica root exudates illuminates the molecular basis of their nodulation competitiveness and symbiotic evolutionary history

open access: yesBMC Genomics, 2018
Background Rhizobial symbionts belong to the classes Alphaproteobacteria and Betaproteobacteria (called “alpha” and “beta”-rhizobia). Most knowledge on the genetic basis of symbiosis is based on model strains belonging to alpha-rhizobia. Mimosa pudica is
