Design and Analysis of LT Codes with Decreasing Ripple Size
In this paper we propose a new design of LT codes, which decreases the amount of necessary overhead in comparison to existing designs. The design focuses on a parameter of the LT decoding process called the ripple size.

Topological Order and Memory Time in Marginally Self-Correcting Quantum Memory [PDF]
We examine two proposals for marginally self-correcting quantum memory, the cubic code by Haah and the welded code by Michnicki. In particular, we prove explicitly that they are absent of topological order above zero temperature, as their Gibbs ensembles

Analysis of the Second Moment of the LT Decoder
We analyze the second moment of the ripple size during the LT decoding process and prove that the standard deviation of the ripple size for an LT-code with length $k$ is of the order of $\sqrt k.$ Together with a result by Karp et.

The Building Blocks of Interoperability. A Multisite Analysis of Patient Demographic Attributes Available for Matching. [PDF]
BackgroundPatient matching is a key barrier to achieving interoperability. Patient demographic elements must be consistently collected over time and region to be valuable elements for patient matching.ObjectivesWe sought to determine what patient ...

Low error floor LT coding algorithm by using fixed-length node classification window
To solve the problem of high error floor for LT codes in additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channels, an improved coding scheme was designed.A fixed-length classification window was used to sort out the information nodes with relatively small degrees ...

The effects of anisotropic pressure on plasma displacement and its deviation from flux surfaces
A significant impact of pressure anisotropy on the plasma displacement associated with ideal Magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) stability is found. A heliotron plasma, such as a large helical device plasma, is analyzed.
