A multi-band Rel9 WCDMA/HSDPA/TDD LTE and FDD LTE transceiver with envelope tracking

ESSCIRC 2014 - 40th European Solid State Circuits Conference (ESSCIRC), 2014
This paper presents a transceiver capable of supporting 2G/3G/4G LTE FDD bands 1-20 and TDD bands 34- 41. The chip includes main and diversity receivers, direct conversion transmitter, internal closed loop power control, antenna tuning and Envelope Tracking DAC. It supports Rel 9 dual band dual carrier HSDPA using a second Receive PLL. The Receiver has

Design of FDD/TDD dual mode power amplifier for LTE application

2012 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology (ICMMT), 2012
LTE technology supports flexible carrier bandwidths, from below 5MHz up to 20MHz and also supports both FDD (Frequency Division Duplex) and TDD (Time Division Duplex) modulation schemes. Ten paired and four unpaired spectrum bands have so far been identified by 3GPP for LTE and there are more bands to come.

Hairpin line bandpass filter for 1.8 GHz FDD-LTE eNodeB receiver

2017 International Conference on Radar, Antenna, Microwave, Electronics, and Telecommunications (ICRAMET), 2017
This paper presents a bandpass filter designed to passes the required uplink frequency in the band-3 for eNodeB LTE (1.710–1.785 GHz). The filter is designed using hairpin line method, 0.01 dB ripple Chebyshev response, and Duroid RT- 5880 as the substrate to result a bandwidth of 75 MHz.

Performance Evaluation with Control Channel on the Coexistence Scenario of TD-LTE and LTE-FDD

2013
The coexistence performance with control channel when TD-LTE and LTE-FDD systems coexist at the adjacent frequency band within the same geographical area is investigated. A simple mathematical model mapping from control channel performance to data channel throughput is employed to estimate system performance when considering the impact of the adjacent ...

Performance analysis of intercell interference coordination in downlink FDD-LTE system

2012 7th International Conference on Telecommunication Systems, Services, and Applications (TSSA), 2012
Frequency reuse schemes used in LTE network planning are optimized using inter-cell interference coordination with soft frequency reuse. The parameters needed in planning LTE network is derived from the process of dimensioning, including capacity and coverage.

Qualifying CP length for LTE FDD downlink channel with small delay dispersion

2015 23rd International Conference on Software, Telecommunications and Computer Networks (SoftCOM), 2015
In this paper, the earlier developed error floor model for peak performance estimation of OFDM transmission over multipath channel with small delay dispersion is enhanced by exploiting the model’s feature of enabling application of arbitrary cyclic prefix length, by varying the balance between the counts of advanced and delayed echoes with respect to ...

Alternative duplexing for LTE FDD using the theory of characteristic modes

2015
In this paper, we are investigating an alternative architecture for the RF transceiver of mobile phones which is capable of supporting the latest features and bands used for LTE. In this work, the duplex filter is replaced by equipping the Rx and Tx branch of the front-end with dedicated antennas.
