A Sequence Bounded Above by the Lucas Numbers
In this work, we consider the sequence whosenthterm isthe number of h-vectors of length n. The set of integer vectors E(n)isintroduced. For, n>=2,the cardinality ofE(n)is the nthLucasnumber Lnisshowed.

The terms in Lucas sequences divisible by their indices [PDF]
For Lucas sequences of the first kind (u_n) and second kind (v_n) defined as usual for positive n by u_n=(a^n-b^n)/(a-b), v_n=a^n+b^n, where a and b are either integers or conjugate quadratic integers, we describe the set of indices n for which n divides

ON THE SEQUENCES RELATED TO FIBONACCI AND LUCAS NUMBERS [PDF]
The sequences \(\{U_n\}_{n\geq 0}\) and \(\{V_n\}_{n\geq 0}\) are introduced by recurrence relations: \[ \begin{aligned} U_n &= (q- 2)(U_{n-2}- U_{n-4},\;n\geq 4,\\ V_n &= (q-2) V_{n-2}- V_{n-4},\;n\geq 4\end{aligned} \] with initial conditions \(U_0= 0\), \(U_1= 1\), \(U_2= 1\), \(U_4= q- 1\), \(V_0= 2\), \(V_1= 1\), \(V_2= q-1\), where \(q\geq 5\) is

Generalized Fibonacci-Lucas Sequence [PDF]
The Fibonacci sequence is a source of many nice and interesting identities. A similar interpretation exists for Lucas sequence. The Fibonacci sequence, Lucas numbers and their generalization have many interesting properties and applications to almost every field.

King and Cochrane: The technological treadmill and racial inequity in US agriculture
Abstract Between 1920 and 1969, the number of Black farmers in the US decreased from 14% of all operators to 4%. Using Martin Luther King Jr.'s critique of agricultural policy and Willard Cochrane's theory of the technological treadmill, we explore how racial discrimination was linked to policies that led to structural change in US agriculture.

The power sum of balancing polynomials and their divisible properties
In recent years, many scholars have studied the division properties of polynomials and sequence power sums. In this paper, we use Girard-Waring formula and combinatorial method to study the power sum problem of balancing polynomials and Lucas-balancing ...

A Matrix Approach for Divisibility Properties of the Generalized Fibonacci Sequence
We give divisibility properties of the generalized Fibonacci sequence by matrix methods. We also present new recursive identities for the generalized Fibonacci and Lucas sequences.

On the equilibrium in a discrete-time Lucas Model [PDF]
In this paper I study a discrete-time version of the Lucas model with the endogenous leisure but without physical capital. Under standard conditions I prove that the optimal human capital sequence is increasing.
