Cucurbitacin Profile and Metalloid Stress Response in Cucurbita pepo L. Upon Arsenic Exposure

open access: yesPlant Direct, Volume 9, Issue 6, June 2025.
ABSTRACT Cucurbits are cultivated worldwide in regions with high concentrations of arsenic (As), a hazardous metalloid, affecting produce quality and increasing the consumer exposure. Cucurbitacins are herbivore‐deterrent secondary metabolites that contribute to the plant defense response.

Dye adsorption behavior of Luffa cylindrica fibers [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Hazardous Materials, 2008
Using natural Luffa cylindrica fibers as adsorbent removal of methylene blue dye from aqueous solutions at different temperatures and dye concentrations was investigated in this study. Thermodynamics and kinetics of adsorption were also investigated. The adsorption isotherms could be well defined with Langmuir model instead of Freundlich model.
