Dammarenediol II enhances etoposide‐induced apoptosis by targeting O‐GlcNAc transferase and Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling in liver cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...

Mastering morphology of non-fullerene acceptors towards long-term stable organic solar cells

open access: yesNature Communications, 2023
Despite the rapid progress of organic solar cells based on non-fullerene acceptors, simultaneously achieving high power conversion efficiency and long-term stability for commercialization requires sustainable research effort.

Highly Stable Luminous "snakes" from CsPbX3 Perovskite Nanocrystals Anchored on Amine-Coated Silica Nanowires [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
CsPbX3 (X = Cl, Br, and I) perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) are known for their exceptional optoelectronic properties, yet the material's instability toward polar solvents, heat, or UV irradiation greatly limits its further applications.

The PI3Kδ inhibitor roginolisib (IOA‐244) preserves T‐cell function and activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Identification of novel PI3K inhibitors with limited immune‐related adverse effects is highly sought after. We found that roginolisib and idelalisib inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells and Treg suppressive functions to similar extents, but roginolisib affects cytotoxic T‐cell function and promotion of pro‐inflammatory T helper subsets to a

Effect of Source/Drain Electrodes on the Electrical Properties of Silicon–Tin Oxide Thin-Film Transistors

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2018
Ultra-high definition displays have become a trend for the current flat plane displays. In this study, the contact properties of amorphous silicon–tin oxide thin-film transistors (a-STO TFTs) employed with source/drain (S/D) electrodes were ...

Can Europium Atoms form Luminescent Centres in Diamond: A combined Theoretical-Experimental Study

open access: yes, 2019
The incorporation of Eu into the diamond lattice is investigated in a combined theoretical-experimental study. The large size of the Eu ion induces a strain on the host lattice, which is minimal for the Eu-vacancy complex.

Basroparib inhibits YAP‐driven cancers by stabilizing angiomotin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Basroparib, a selective tankyrase inhibitor, suppresses Wnt signaling and attenuates YAP‐driven oncogenic programs by stabilizing angiomotin. It promotes AMOT–YAP complex formation, enforces cytoplasmic YAP sequestration, inhibits YAP/TEAD transcription, and sensitizes YAP‐active cancers, including KRAS‐mutant colorectal cancer, to MEK inhibition.

Full-color tuning in multi-layer core-shell nanoparticles from single-wavelength excitation

open access: yesNature Communications
Lanthanide-based luminescent materials have shown great capabilities in addressing scientific problems encountered in diverse fields. However, achieving full-color switchable output under single-wavelength irradiation has remained a daunting challenge ...
