Luminosity Functions of Spitzer Identified Protostars in Nine Nearby Molecular Clouds

We identify protostars in Spitzer surveys of nine star-forming molecular clouds within 1 kpc: Serpens, Perseus, Ophiuchus, Chamaeleon, Lupus, Taurus, Orion, Cep OB3, and Mon R2, which combined host over 700 protostar candidates.

Electrospark‐Deposited AlCrFeCoNi High‐Entropy Alloy Coatings on Steel: Microstructure Evolution, Mechanical Properties, and Corrosion Response

AlCrFeCoNi high entropy alloy coating is applied on steel using electrospark deposition. The microstructure evolution and phase transformation of the as‐deposited and heat‐treated coatings is characterized and discussed. Reduced microhardness and yield strength are measured after heat treatment.

Luminosity is an intrinsic property of radio pulsars related to the properties of the magnetospheric plasma and the beam geometry, and inversely proportional to the observing frequency. In traditional models, luminosity has been considered as a function of the spin parameters of pulsars.
