Luminous-flux measurements by an absolute integrating sphere
We present an original implementation of the absolute-sphere method recently proposed by Ohno. The luminous-flux unit, the lumen, is realized by means of an integrating sphere with an opening calibrated by a luminous-intensity standard placed outside. The adapted experimental setup permits one to measure luminous-flux values between 5 and 2500 lm with ...

Methods of estimating luminous flux of the backlight module by luminance measurement
We present several different estimation methods to calculate the total luminous flux and luminous efficiency of a backlight module by using the measurement data from a luminance meter. We used the integrating sphere to measure a backlight module and found the luminous efficiency as 72.232%.

Internal Traceability between Luminous Flux and Illuminance Standards
Two methods for the measurement of the luminous flux are presented: the first is based on an integrating sphere and a luminous flux standard lamp, the second utilizes an accurate goniometer and an accurate illuminance meter.

A precision goniophotometer developed at the Istituto Elettrotecnico Nazionale, Turin, has been used to measure the luminous flux of standard lamps, with a view to realising a total luminous flux scale by relating the lumen to the candela through its fundamental definition. The instrument is described and measurement errors assessed.

LED modules emitting a luminous flux, implement near-field luminance distribution or colorimetric distribution depending on emitters location. In the far field there is complete mixing of luminous flux, both in terms of quantity as well as because of distribution color parameters.

Luminous Intensity and Luminous Flux Standard Lamps Based on COB LEDs
Light & Engineering, 2022The necessity of creating standard lamps based on LEDs is substantiated. The process of creating and research of reference lamps based on cooled and uncooled LEDs is shown. The physical scheme is substantiating, the principle of operation and the main metrological characteristics of reference lamps based on LED COB are described.

Interocular transfer of a luminous flux discrimination in the rabbit
Vision Research, 1977Abstract Six normally reared rabbits were trained monocularly on a luminous flux discrimination and tested for interocular transfer. While none of the animals showed complete transfer, all but one required fewer trials to relearn the task with the second eye.
