Testosterone Replacement Therapy in Adolescents and Young Adults With Prader‐Willi Syndrome: Efficacy and Effects on Behaviour

open access: yesClinical Endocrinology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Context Hypogonadism in Prader‐Willi syndrome (PWS) is associated with decreased bone mineral density (BMD) in male adolescents and adults. Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) improves BMD and sexual maturation, but TRT could aggravate pre‐existing challenging behaviour in male patients with PWS.

Morphological Features-Based Descriptive Index System for Lunar Impact Craters

open access: yesISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information, 2017
Lunar impact craters are important for studying lunar surface morphology because they are the most typical morphological units of the Moon. Impact crater descriptive indices can be used to describe morphological features and thus provide direct evidence ...

Topology‐based Visual Analysis of Hydrothermal Plumes

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
Abstract Hydrothermal plumes are turbulent structures of intense heat and mineral smoke that rise and disperse into the deep ocean. Existing models generally characterize these systems as a single axisymmetric plume originating from a point source. However, this assumption breaks down in weakly venting, spatially distributed systems, where low‐flux ...

Investigating the Compositional Heterogeneity of Pure, Crystalline Plagioclase Exposures within the Moon’s Anorthositic Crust Using Moon Mineralogy Mapper and Diviner Data

open access: yesThe Planetary Science Journal
Questions about the formation of the primary anorthositic crust of the Moon remain unanswered. Spectroscopic surveys of the lunar crust have evidenced the presence of pure, crystalline plagioclase exposures (PCPEs) across the surface, which are assumed ...

Investigating the Impact of Lunar Rover Structure and Lunar Surface Characteristics on Antenna Performance

open access: yesSensors
This article explores the influence of lunar regolith and rover structure, such as mast design and material composition, on antenna parameters. It focuses on the distinctive difficulties of communication in the lunar environment, which need specialized ...

Advancing conservation breeding programs for marine invertebrates

open access: yesConservation Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract In the face of ecosystem change and biodiversity loss caused by climate change and other stressors, conservation breeding, or captive breeding, with the aim of reintroduction for wild population recovery, is an emerging tool for preventing species’ extinction and rehabilitating ecosystems.

Physical, mechanical and thermal properties of vacuum sintered HUST-1 lunar regolith simulant

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mining Science and Technology
Establishing a base on the Moon is one of the new goals of human lunar exploration in recent years. Sintered lunar regolith is one of the most potential building materials for lunar bases. The physical, mechanical and thermal properties of sintered lunar

Under the cover of darkness: Foraging behaviour increases on cloudy, new moon nights in a pelagic seabird

open access: yesIbis, EarlyView.
While many visual predators feed exclusively during the day, others exploit foraging opportunities at night, although the efficiency with which they do so is strongly influenced by ambient light levels. We investigated the influence of variation in nocturnal light on the foraging behaviour of a small pelagic seabird, the European Storm‐petrel ...
