A Luneburg Lens for the Terahertz Region
Journal of Infrared, Millimeter, and Terahertz Waves, 2019We experimentally demonstrate a two-dimensional Luneburg lens for the THz region using a waveguide-based artificial-dielectric medium. The substrate material of the lens is Teflon with the top and bottom surfaces coated with silver to form a quasi-parallel-plate waveguide.

Printed holey plate Luneburg lens
AbstractA printed Luneburg lens whose permittivity distribution is controlled by photo lithographically etching holes of different sizes into one side of a PCB ground plane is reported. The lens designed to operate in TE01 mode has a measured −3‐dB beamwidth of 5.2° with 14.2‐dB gain at 27.22 GHz for a 12.2λ, 13.4‐cm diameter lens.

Smooth plate Luneburg lens with superstrate
This paper deals with a new technological process allowing to manufacture a Luneburg lens antenna with a smooth gradient index law following the theoretical one. The technological process is validated through the design of a 60GHz plate Luneburg lens. Moreover, a dielectric superstrate is added front of the lens to narrow the beam in the E plane and so

Planar bifunctional Luneburg-fisheye lens made of an anisotropic metasurface
Luneburg lens and Maxwell-fisheye lens are well-known microwave and optical devices with distinct focusing properties. Here, a planar bifunctional Luneburg-fisheye lens made of an anisotropic metasurface is presented, which features as a Luneburg along ...

Modified structural Luneburg lens for broadband focusing and collimation
Luneburg lens is a symmetric gradient-index lens with a refractive index that increases from the outer surface to the center in a radial manner. It has the ability to focus and collimate waves, which makes it useful for energy harvesting, waveguiding and
