BreatheInterstitial lung disease (ILD) is a heterogeneous chronic form of lung disease. The pathogenesis of ILD is poorly understood and a common form of ILD, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is associated with poor prognosis. There is evidence for substantial dysregulated immune responses in ILD.

Targeting the EpCAM‐AXL axis to overcome drug resistance in lung cancer
Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.Lung cancer cells often evade therapy by hijacking signaling pathways. We reveal that cleaved EpCAM (sEpCAM) stabilizes the oncogenic protein AXL, driving NF‐κB and STAT3‐mediated chemoresistance. This EpCAM‐AXL axis identifies a high‐risk patient subset with poor prognosis.

Tumour‐proximal deep serum proteomics identifies biomarkers associated with ovarian cancer
Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.New biomarkers are needed for early ovarian cancer detection. Ovarian (tumour‐proximal) and peripheral vein serum from healthy women and patients with benign or malignant tumours underwent nanoparticle‐enriched deep proteomics. Ovarian serum yielded more protein identifications and revealed tumour‐reflective signatures.
