Multicentricity of Adenocarcinoma of the Lung
Chest, 1989In a consecutive series of 62 lung resections for bronchogenic adenocarcinoma, 12 patients (19 percent) were found to have two or more adenocarcinomas on careful pathologic examination. These tumors all met the criteria for separate primary malignancy. In only two of the patients were the additional lesions suspected preoperatively.

A 55-year-old male with a history of smoking was diagnosed as adenocarcinoma of the right S2, and underwent resection of the right upper lobe and dissection of the hilum and mediastinal lymph nodes (complete resection).

Giant cell adenocarcinoma of the lung
Cancer, 1966The 63 giant cell adenocarcinomas of the lung which were found among 592 primary lung carcinomas in 25,785 necropsies during the period from 1945 through 1957 at the Los Angeles County Hospital were studied in detail by histochemical methods. These tumors constitute 10.3% of the primary pulmonary lung carcinomas in this group.
