Abstract Background FLow‐controlled EXpiration (FLEX) has been shown to significantly enhance oxygenation in horses under clinical and experimental conditions. Objectives To compare pulmonary gas exchange during early recovery following general anaesthesia in horses ventilated with FLEX compared with conventional intermittent positive pressure ...

Targeting eEF1A1 with baicalein disrupts the eEF1A1‐Prdx4 interaction to prevent RNF14‐mediated ubiquitination and degradation of Prdx4. This stabilizes Prdx4 to suppress NF‐κB, thereby alleviating sepsis‐induced acute lung injury. ABSTRACT Sepsis is a systemic inflammatory response syndrome triggered by an uncontrolled host response to infection ...

Illuminating point‐of‐care diagnostics with aggregation‐induced emission biosensors
This review highlights the application of aggregation‐induced emission luminogens (AIEgens) in point‐of‐care (POC) diagnostics for disease biomarker detection. It systematically examines a range of biosensing platforms, including lateral flow immunoassays, microfluidic chips, and electrochemiluminescence sensors, alongside their utility in detecting ...

Effect of lung collapse on compensatory lung growth
The effect of unilateral lung collapse on compensatory lung growth was studied in 3-wk-old (young) and 10-wk-old (adult) male Long-Evans rats. Under light halothane anesthesia, left lung collapse was produced by injection of dental plastic through a thracheostomy cannula. The rats were killed either 5 days or 4 wk later.

Collapse of the Lung and Bronchography
Acta Radiologica, 1952Attention is drawn to the importance of a temporary high position of the diaphragm, causing collapse of the basal parts of the lung. The same effect on the lung may also be caused by other conditions: pleural lesions, tumours etc. Illustrative bronchographic studies are presented.
