Bronchial Chondronecrosis After Proton Beam Therapy Successfully Treated With Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

This report describes a patient with bronchial chondronecrosis after proton beam therapy. Transbronchial lung cryobiopsy was useful for diagnosis, and the patient was successfully treated with hyperbaric oxygen therapy. ABSTRACT Airway chondronecrosis is a rare but serious manifestation of late radiation‐induced toxicity.
