Modeling Ewing Sarcoma Lung Metastasis
Current Protocols, 2023AbstractEwing Sarcoma (EwS) is the second most common malignant bone tumor in adolescents and young adults. The single‐most powerful predictor of outcome in EwS is presence of metastatic burden at the time of diagnosis. Patients with metastatic Ewing Sarcoma have an abysmal 5‐year survival rate of 10%‐25%, which has not changed over the past 30‐40 ...

Lung metastasis of a meningioma
Neuroradiology, 1983Case report of a 35-year-old male patient. 1976: operation for a falx-meningioma. 1981: meningioma recurrence and further intracranial meningiomas.1976 and 1981 endotheliomatous meningioma: no signs of malignancy. Prior to the 2nd operation in 1981 a lung tumor was diagnosed for the first time.

Splenic metastasis from lung cancer
The Netherlands Journal of Medicine, 1995Splenic metastasis from lung cancer is a rare clinical event, most often diagnosed at the time of autopsy. We report 2 cases of splenic metastasis with a primary lung cancer. The first case was a 76-year-old man presenting with a recurrent solitary splenic metastasis 14 months after surgical removal of a squamous cell carcinoma of the lung.

Laser resection of lung metastasis
Multimedia Manual of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, 2005Presentation of the laser resection technique for metastatic lung diseases: a new Nd:YAG 1.318 nm wavelength laser system enables the thoracic surgeon to extend indication and include a larger number of patients for pulmonary metastasectomy. This parenchyma-saving technique allows removal of a significantly higher number of lung nodules in comparison ...

Thenar metastasis from lung cancer
European Journal of Cancer Care, 2002We report an unusual occurrence of skin metastasis to the thenar eminence. Skin metastasis reflects the progression of the primary malignancy. Biopsy should be performed from the skin lesions, even those located at uncommon sites, for patients who have a history of uncontrolled lung cancer.

Revue des maladies respiratoires, 1993
Pulmonary metastasis of non small cell lung carcinomas are commonly nodular. The isolated nodular form must be diagnosed from double location carcinomas. The lymphangitic carcinomatosis semiology is best demonstrated with HR-CT-Technic. Endobronchic, alveolar and multi-micro angiopathy with emboli are less common.

Splenic metastasis of lung cancer
Oncology Reports, 2001Splenic metastasis from a lung cancer is infrequently noted, however, the pattern of the metastasis has not been studied, thus we conducted a retrospective study. Twelve of the consecutive 997 patients with lung cancer, who were admitted to our division, developed splenic metastasis.

Lung Cancer With Skin Metastasis
Chest, 1994We describe findings in 34 cases of lung cancer with skin metastases. In 24 men and 10 women, ages ranged from 32 to 85 years (mean, 61 years). In five, a skin lesion was the first manifestation of the underlying cancer; in another four, it was found coincidentally with detection of the lung mass.

Centrifugal metastasis in lung cancer
British Journal of Diseases of the Chest, 1961Summary The literature contains references to the centrifugal nature of the topographical distribution of visceral metastases in lung cancer. Since the current theory is that visceral metastases are h˦matogenous, this pattern is unexpected. 6,000 cases of lung cancer were obtained from Medical Schools throughout Britain.
