Sarcomatoid Neoplasms of the Lung and Pleura
AbstractSarcomatoid neoplasms of the lung and pleura are rare tumors that present a complex differential diagnosis, making them challenging for surgical pathologists. In the lung, the main tumors are the sarcomatoid carcinomas, including pleomorphic carcinoma, spindle cell carcinoma, giant cell carcinoma, carcinosarcoma, and pulmonary blastoma.

VASP was found to be overexpressed in metastatic oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) tissues. Notably, PTTG1‐ and VASP‐deficient OSCC cells demonstrated suppressed metastatic properties by disrupting the interaction between the cytoskeleton and focal adhesion (FAs) in the filopodia region.

Tumor microenvironment drives cancer formation and progression. We analyzed the role of human cancer‐associated adipocytes from patients with renal cell carcinoma (RCC) stratified as lean, overweight, or obese. RNA‐seq demonstrated that, among the most altered genes involved in the tumor–stroma crosstalk, are ADAM12 and CYP1B1, which were proven to be ...

Endothelial neoplasms of the lungs. [PDF]
In the period of 20 years, the author had an opportunity to observe 14 cases of endothelial neoplasms of the lungs. The group consisted of eight women and six men, differing in age from 18 to 75 years. These cases presented as two subsets: low grade malignancy epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (PEH) (12 cases--eight women and four men, aged between 18 ...

CD226+CD8+ T cells express elevated levels of RUNX2, exhibit higher proliferation capacity, cytokines and cytolytic molecules expression, and migratory capacity. In contrast, CD226−CD8+ T cells display an exhausted phenotype associated with the increased expression of co‐inhibitory receptors and impaired effector functions.

Primary extranodal diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma: Molecular features, treatment, and prognosis
One‐third of DLBCL arises from extranodal organs and is challenging to manage. Molecular features are critical to elucidate the differences in clinical features, predict the disease prognosis, and improve effective targeted therapeutic strategies. Abstract Diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common subtype of non‐Hodgkin's lymphoma and ...
