Screening 166 FDA‐approved anticancer drugs identifies the aromatase inhibitor Exemestane as a synergistic partner of PARP inhibitor Olaparib in BRCA‐proficient triple‐negative breast cancer. Exemestane induces ROS‐mediated replication stress, enhancing DNA damage and apoptosis alongside Olaparib.

RKIP, a metastasis suppressor protein, modulates key oncogenic pathways in lung adenocarcinoma. In silico analyses linked low RKIP expression to poor survival. Functional studies revealed RKIP overexpression reduces tumor aggressiveness and enhances sensitivity to EGFR‐targeted therapies, while its loss promotes resistance.

Detecting Lung Cancer Trends by Leveraging Real-World and Internet-Based Data: Infodemiology Study
BackgroundInternet search data on health-related terms can reflect people’s concerns about their health status in near real time, and hence serve as a supplementary metric of disease characteristics. However, studies using internet search data to monitor

Measurement of lung volumes by plethysmography [PDF]
There are various ways of measuring absolute lung volume. These range from measurements derived from chest radiographs to the more common laboratory measurements employing either gas dilution or plethysmography. The principal difference between the latter two methods is that gas dilution techniques measure gas that is in free communication with the ...

Decrypting cancer's spatial code: from single cells to tissue niches
Spatial transcriptomics maps gene activity across tissues, offering powerful insights into how cancer cells are organised, switch states and interact with their surroundings. This review outlines emerging computational, artificial intelligence (AI) and geospatial approaches to define cell states, uncover tumour niches and integrate spatial data with ...

Lung volume reduction surgery [PDF]
LVRS works, but can we make it safer? There are now five controlled trials showing that lung reduction for emphysema can alter lung function, increase walking distance, and improve quality of life.1–5 There are problems with each study in terms of design, duration, and small sample size but, taken together, they give a strong message that lung volume ...
