ABSTRACT Objective To compare the effect of luteal‐phase progesterone supplementation in natural cycles to expectant management on live birth rates in women with unexplained infertility (UI). Design An open‐label, parallel‐arm, single‐centre randomised controlled trial. Setting One tertiary NHS‐funded fertility unit.

Estradiol and progesterone levels vary along the menstrual cycle and have multiple neuroactive effects, including on the dopaminergic system. Dopamine relates to executive functions in an “inverted U-shaped” manner and its levels are increased by ...

Abnormal expression of p27kip1 protein in levator ani muscle of aging women with pelvic floor disorders – a relationship to the cellular differentiation and degeneration [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Pelvic floor disorders affect almost 50% of aging women. An important role in the pelvic floor support belongs to the levator ani muscle. The p27/kip1 (p27) protein, multifunctional cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor, shows changing expression

Comparison of Luteal Support Protocols in Frozen IVF/ICSI Cycles: A Network Meta‐Analysis
ABSTRACT Background Luteal support is a core success factor of frozen embryo transfers (FET). However, inconsistency across recommended protocols generates notable heterogeneity across reproductive outcomes. Objective To determine the most effective luteal support strategy (LPS) based on five key factors related to the effectiveness of FET cycles ...

GnRH agonists to sustain the luteal phase in antagonist IVF cycles: a randomized prospective trial
Background The addition of a GnRH analogue to the luteal phase in in vitro fertilization programs has been seldom proposed due to the presence of GnRH receptors in the endometrium.

High-pressure phase relations in Zn2SiO4 system: A first-principles study [PDF]
In order to clarify phase relation of Zn2SiO4 system, first-principles DFT calculations of 11 phases were conducted. We confirmed that phases III and IV are retrograde phases. Instead, Na2CrO4- and Ag2CrO4-structured phases are most likely candidate structures for high-pressure phases of III and IV, respectively.

Automatic Classification of African Elephant (\u3cem\u3eLoxodonta africana\u3c/em\u3e) Follicular and Luteal Rumbles [PDF]
Recent research in African elephant vocalizations has shown that there is evidence for acoustic differences in the rumbles of females based on the phase of their estrous cycle (1).
