Progesterone Luteal Support in Natural Cycles for Unexplained Infertility: A Randomised Controlled Trial (The PiNC Trial)

open access: yesBJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics &Gynaecology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To compare the effect of luteal‐phase progesterone supplementation in natural cycles to expectant management on live birth rates in women with unexplained infertility (UI). Design An open‐label, parallel‐arm, single‐centre randomised controlled trial. Setting One tertiary NHS‐funded fertility unit.

Contribution to More Patient-Friendly ART Treatment: Efficacy of Continuous Low-Dose GnRH Agonist as the Only Luteal Support—Results of a Prospective, Randomized, Comparative Study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Endocrinology, 2015
Background. The aim of this pilot study was to evaluate intranasal buserelin for luteal phase support and compare its efficacy with standard vaginal progesterone in IVF/ICSI antagonist cycles. Methods.

Interactive Effects of Dopamine Baseline Levels and Cycle Phase on Executive Functions: The Role of Progesterone

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2017
Estradiol and progesterone levels vary along the menstrual cycle and have multiple neuroactive effects, including on the dopaminergic system. Dopamine relates to executive functions in an “inverted U-shaped” manner and its levels are increased by ...

Abnormal expression of p27kip1 protein in levator ani muscle of aging women with pelvic floor disorders – a relationship to the cellular differentiation and degeneration [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
BACKGROUND: Pelvic floor disorders affect almost 50% of aging women. An important role in the pelvic floor support belongs to the levator ani muscle. The p27/kip1 (p27) protein, multifunctional cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor, shows changing expression

Comparison of Luteal Support Protocols in Frozen IVF/ICSI Cycles: A Network Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesBJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics &Gynaecology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Luteal support is a core success factor of frozen embryo transfers (FET). However, inconsistency across recommended protocols generates notable heterogeneity across reproductive outcomes. Objective To determine the most effective luteal support strategy (LPS) based on five key factors related to the effectiveness of FET cycles ...

GnRH agonists to sustain the luteal phase in antagonist IVF cycles: a randomized prospective trial

open access: yesReproductive Biology and Endocrinology, 2019
Background The addition of a GnRH analogue to the luteal phase in in vitro fertilization programs has been seldom proposed due to the presence of GnRH receptors in the endometrium.

High-pressure phase relations in Zn2SiO4 system: A first-principles study [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
In order to clarify phase relation of Zn2SiO4 system, first-principles DFT calculations of 11 phases were conducted. We confirmed that phases III and IV are retrograde phases. Instead, Na2CrO4- and Ag2CrO4-structured phases are most likely candidate structures for high-pressure phases of III and IV, respectively.

Effects of AZFc (b2/b4, b1/b3, b2/b3, and gr/gr) deletions and primary duplications on the outcomes of the first intracytoplasmic sperm injection treatment cycle: A single‐center retrospective cohort study

open access: yesAndrology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Current advances in high‐throughput sequencing technology enable the precise identification of Y chromosome microdeletion and primary duplication in infertile couples, but the mechanism and clinical significance of these mutations in assisted reproductive techniques remain unclear.

Luteal Coasting and Individualization of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin Dose after Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone Agonist Triggering for Final Oocyte Maturation—A Retrospective Proof-of-Concept Study

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology, 2018
Ovarian stimulation in a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonist protocol with the use of GnRH agonist for final oocyte maturation is the state-of-the-art treatment in patients with an expected or known high response to avoid or at least reduce ...

Automatic Classification of African Elephant (\u3cem\u3eLoxodonta africana\u3c/em\u3e) Follicular and Luteal Rumbles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Recent research in African elephant vocalizations has shown that there is evidence for acoustic differences in the rumbles of females based on the phase of their estrous cycle (1).
