Luzula sylvatica aggr. Artbeschreibung: Blätter glänzend dunkelgrün, lang behaart, Grundblätter 2-10mal so lang wie die Stängelblätter. Unterstes Hochblatt viel kürzer als der Blütenstand. Dieser locker, aufrecht, weit ausladend, mehrfach verzweigt, mit 2-4 blütigen Köpfen.

Summary. The two Tropical African representatives of the type subsection of Luzula are each confined to very small areas, one in West and the other in East Tropical Africa. They are shown to belong to a species distinct from L. campestris (L.) DC. to which they have usually been referred, respectively, as Luzula campestris var.
