Adaptive Sliding‐Mode Control of a Perturbed Diffusion Process With Pointwise In‐Domain Actuation
ABSTRACT A sliding mode–based adaptive control law is proposed for a class of diffusion processes featuring a spatially‐varying uncertain diffusivity and equipped with several point‐wise actuators located at the two boundaries of the spatial domain as well as in its interior.

A graph-theoretic approach to global input-to-state stability for coupled control systems
In this paper, the input-to-state stability for coupled control systems is investigated. A systematic method of constructing a global Lyapunov function for the coupled control systems is provided by combining graph theory and the Lyapunov method ...

Transient Stability Equivalents Based on Lyapunov Function [PDF]
Owing to the increasing size and complexity in power systems, the study of the stability equivalent is receiving a great deal of attention. This paper describes a systematic method for the recognition of coherent machines by means of the Lyapunov ...

Nonlinear control with two complementary Lyapunov function [PDF]
If a Lyapunov function is known, a dynamic system can be stabilized. However, computing or selecting a Lyapunov function is often challenging. This dissertation presents a new approach which eliminates this challenge: a simple control Lyapunov function ...

Optimal Homogeneous ℒp$$ {\boldsymbol{\mathcal{L}}}_{\boldsymbol{p}} $$‐Gain Controller
ABSTRACT Nonlinear ℋ∞$$ {\mathscr{H}}_{\infty } $$‐controllers are designed for arbitrarily weighted, continuous homogeneous systems with a focus on systems affine in the control input. Based on the homogeneous ℒp$$ {\mathcal{L}}_p $$‐norm, the input–output behavior is quantified in terms of the homogeneous ℒp$$ {\mathcal{L}}_p $$‐gain as a ...

On The Synchronization of Van Der Pol-Duffing Oscillator
Themost well known property of chaotic systems is their sensitivity to initialconditions. In this work the criterion presented in literature forsynchronizing two chaotic systems is applied to a system consisting of two Vander Pol-Duffing oscillators ...

ABSTRACT The importance of frequency domain methods in analysis and design of sliding mode (SM) control systems is mostly associated with chattering, where the advantages of these methods over state‐space and Lyapunov's methods are quite obvious.
