Novel Robust Stability Criteria for Uncertain Stochastic Neural Networks with Time-Varying Delay [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems, 2009
This paper considers the robust stability analysis problem for a class of uncertain stochastic neural net- works with time-varying delay. Based on the Lyapunov functional method, and by resorting to the new technique for estimating the upper bound of the

Analysis of a stochastic 2D–Navier-Stokes model with infinite delay [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Some results concerning a stochastic 2D Navier-Stokes system when the external forces contain hereditary characteristics are established. The existence and uniqueness of solutions in the case of unbounded (infinite) delay are first proved by using the ...

Model‐based fault diagnosis and fault tolerant control in safety‐critical chemical reactors: An experimental study

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract This study investigates a fault‐tolerant control (FTC) approach for continuous stirred‐tank reactors (CSTR), emphasizing the importance of timely interventions to ensure operational safety under fault conditions. A systematic methodology combining residual‐based fault estimation and Dynamic Safety Margin (DSM) monitoring is developed to guide ...

Lyapunov functionals and practical stability for stochastic differential delay equations with general decay rate

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2022
This paper stands for the almost sure practical stability of nonlinear stochastic differential delay equations (SDDEs) with a general decay rate. We establish some sufficient conditions based upon the construction of appropriate Lyapunov functionals ...

On the Relation of Delay Equations to First-Order Hyperbolic Partial Differential Equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This paper establishes the equivalence between systems described by a single first-order hyperbolic partial differential equation and systems described by integral delay equations.

A Unifying Approach to Self‐Organizing Systems Interacting via Conservation Laws

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
The article develops a unified way to model and analyze self‐organizing systems whose interactions are constrained by conservation laws. It represents physical/biological/engineered networks as graphs and builds projection operators (from incidence/cycle structure) that enforce those constraints and decompose network variables into constrained versus ...

“It Is Much Safer to Be Sparse than Connected”: Safe Control of Robotic Swarm Density Dynamics with PDE Optimization with State Constraints

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This paper proposes a novel control framework to ensure safety of a robotic swarm. A feedback optimization controller is capable of driving the swarm toward a target density while keeping risk‐zone exposure below a safety threshold. Theory and experiments show how safety is more effectively achieved for sparsely connected swarms.
