Bounds of the matrix eigenvalues and its exponential by Lyapunov equation [PDF]
summary:We are concerned with bounds of the matrix eigenvalues and its exponential. Combining the Lyapunov equation with the weighted logarithmic matrix norm technique, four sequences are presented to locate eigenvalues of a matrix.

Time-relevant 2D behaviors [PDF]
In this work we present some results on 2D behaviors described by linear constant coefficient partial difference equations where one of the independent variables, “time”, is distinguished and plays a special role. We call such systems ‘time-relevant’. We

Dynamic multi‐objective optimisation of complex networks based on evolutionary computation
Abstract As the problems concerning the number of information to be optimised is increasing, the optimisation level is getting higher, the target information is more diversified, and the algorithms are becoming more complex; the traditional algorithms such as particle swarm and differential evolution are far from being able to deal with this situation ...

On the Stability of Solutions of Neutral Differential Equations with Distributed Delay [PDF]
We consider one class of systems of linear nonautonomous differential equations of neutral type with distributed delay. The matrix in front of the derivative of the unknown vector-function with delay is constant, the matrix in front of the unknown vector-

Solution of the Lyapunov matrix equation
An estimate is given for the reduction obtained by introducing a skew-symmetric matrix in the number of Operations needed to solve the matrix equation A'L+LA = −C. Also, an iterative scheme is suggested whereby the order of the largest matrix to be inverted can be reduced to 2n−3.

Formation Control of Multi‐Agent System with Local Interaction and Artificial Potential Field
This article proposes a local interaction‐based formation control method for Multi‐Agent system, integrating consensus and leader‐follower strategies with a stress response mechanism—artificial potential field to reduce communication overhead and enable obstacle avoidance. Experimental results on triangular, square, and hexagonal formations confirm its

Causal‐Guided Ultra‐Long‐Term Time Series Forecasting Via Anticipated Covariates
Often treated as unknown, information from the future remains underutilized. We demonstrate that in a coupled dynamical system, providing the future state of the effect enables accurate forecasting of the cause for a long timesteps. A time series forecasting paradigm that introduces anticipated covariates to represent such known future states is ...

Can the Flap of a Butterfly’s Wings Shift a Tornado into Texas—Without Chaos?
In our title, “chaos” means there is a positive Lyapunov exponent that causes the tornado to move. We are asserting that a positive Lyapunov exponent is not always needed to have a butterfly effect.

A Unifying Approach to Self‐Organizing Systems Interacting via Conservation Laws
The article develops a unified way to model and analyze self‐organizing systems whose interactions are constrained by conservation laws. It represents physical/biological/engineered networks as graphs and builds projection operators (from incidence/cycle structure) that enforce those constraints and decompose network variables into constrained versus ...
