Phylogenomics‐based click‐beetle classification tackles multiple origins of phenotypic modifications
Using a concatenated dataset consisting of new genomic data from 73 species across 40 click‐beetle tribes and an earlier published, smaller dataset, we conducted the first 4200‐ortholog study targeting the phylogeny of Elateridae with the highest resolution to date.

Genomic data support the definition of a new elateroid family, Badmaateridae fam. nov., with Badmaater chilensis gen. nov. sp. nov. as the only representative. Badmaateridae is sister to an extensive clade containing fireflies, soldier beetles, net‐winged beetles and click beetles.

This is the first phylogenomic study of Omethidae using genome skimming, sampling representatives of all subfamilies to resolve long‐standing conflicts between morphology‐ and multigene‐based hypotheses. Phylogenomic analyses recovered Omethidae sister to Artematopodidae and strongly support Telegeusinae as a subfamily of Omethidae, rejecting its ...

The two most diverse beetle families, Staphylinidae and Curculionidae (black arrows), have fewer studies of diversity and elevation than expected, while the Carabidae and Scarabaeidae (brown arrows) are overstudied. Dung beetle (Scarabaeidae) phylogenetic and taxonomic diversity decreases with elevation along tropical and temperate elevational ...

Diversity and Composition of Beetles (Order: Coleoptera) of Durgapur, West Bengal, India
A survey of beetle faunal diversity and composition was studied in Durgapur Municipal Corporation, Durgapur, West Bengal, from January to December 2012. Beetles were collected using standard trapping methods from three different sites selected on the basis of their specific habitat differences, identified up to the level of family, and counted monthly.
