Early Results from GLASS-JWST. XXIII. The Transmission of Lyα from UV-faint z ∼ 3–6 Galaxies
Ly α emission from galaxies can be used to trace neutral hydrogen in the epoch of reionization, however, there is a degeneracy between the attenuation of Ly α in the intergalactic medium (IGM) and the line profile emitted by the galaxy.

HOW LYMAN ALPHA EMISSION DEPENDS ON GALAXY STELLAR MASS [PDF]
ABSTRACT In this work, we show how the stellar mass (M *) of galaxies affects the 3 < z < 4.6 Lyα equivalent width (EW) distribution. To this end, we design a sample of 629 galaxies in the M * range from the ...

The HETDEX Survey Emission-line Exploration and Source Classification
The Hobby–Eberly Telescope Dark Energy Experiment (HETDEX) is an untargeted spectroscopic survey that aims to measure the expansion rate of the universe at z ∼ 2.4 to 1% precision for both H ( z ) and D _A ( z ).

We present Ly α imaging of 45 low-redshift star-forming galaxies observed with the Hubble Space Telescope. The galaxies have been selected to have moderate to high star formation rates (SFRs) using far-ultraviolet (FUV) luminosity and H α equivalent ...

Lyman-alpha and CIII] Emission in z=7-9 Galaxies: Accelerated Reionization Around Luminous Star Forming Systems? [PDF]
We discuss new Keck/MOSFIRE spectroscopic observations of four luminous galaxies at z~7-9 selected to have intense optical line emission by Roberts-Borsani et al. (2016). Previous follow-up has revealed Lyman-alpha in two of the four galaxies.

On the Diffuse Lyman-alpha Halo Around Lyman-alpha Emitting Galaxies
Ly$ $ photons scattered by neutral hydrogen atoms in the circumgalactic media or produced in the halos of star-forming galaxies are expected to lead to extended Ly$ $ emission around galaxies. Such low surface brightness Ly$ $ halos (LAHs) have been detected by stacking Ly$ $ images of high-redshift star-forming galaxies.

The Dynamical Masses, Densities, and Star Formation Scaling Relations of Lyman Alpha Galaxies
We present the first dynamical mass measurements for Lyman alpha galaxies at high redshift, based on velocity dispersion measurements from rest-frame optical emission lines and size measurements from HST imaging, for a sample of nine galaxies drawn from ...
