LYMPH FOLLICULAR CHOLECYSTITIS

Acta Pathologica Japonica, 1979
Ten cases of cholecystitis with severe lymphocytic reactions were selected among serially examined 131 cases of cholecystitis or/and cholelithiasis. Gram‐negative bacterial infection, especially E. coli and K. pneumonia seemed to be related as the cause of these severe lymphocytic reactions, but the gallstone revealed no definite influence.

Modification of lymph by lymph nodes. III. Effect of increased lymph hydrostatic pressure

American Journal of Physiology-Heart and Circulatory Physiology, 1985
Previous studies have shown that lymph nodes function as fluid exchange chambers in which the protein concentration of lymph is changed in the direction required to establish equilibrium of the Starling forces acting across the nodal blood-lymph barrier.

Superficial lymph node infarction

Journal of Surgical Oncology, 1983
AbstractSuerficial lymph node necrosis is an unusual pathologic diagnosis encountered in clinical practice. When seen it is usually indicative of involvement of the affected lymph nodes with either metastatic cancer or lymphoma. Occasionally it has been associated with hypersensitivity phenomena with arteriolar involvement.

Local Lymph Node Assay

Current Protocols in Toxicology, 2004
AbstractThe murine local lymph node assay (LLNA) allows identification of chemicals that have the potential to cause skin sensitization and allergic contact dermatitis. In this test, contact allergens are identified as a function of events occurring during the induction phase of skin sensitization; specifically, stimulation of proliferative responses ...

Lymph node biopsy

Pathology, 1983
The lymph node biopsy may well be the most important surgical operation that the patient ever has. Recent advances in the immunological characterization of human lymphocyte sub-populations, and the use of selected cytochemistry techniques have enabled increased understanding of the pathogenesis of malignant lymphomas, as well as providing more precise ...

Lung lymph drainage

Acta Anaesthesiologica Scandinavica, 1991
This presentation was intended as a brief review of two principally different approaches to studies on pulmonary lymphatic drainage. When selecting an experimental model, we have to choose between either sampling of pure lung lymph thereby sacrificing information about whole organ fluid balance, or emphasize dynamic fluid balance for the whole lung at ...
