PD‐1 Inhibitor (Sintilimab) Combined With Chemotherapy as Neoadjuvant Therapy in Advanced Ovarian Cancer: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT In a patient with advanced ovarian cancer showing limited response to paclitaxel–carboplatin, adding sintilimab was associated with R0 cytoreduction and sustained disease‐free status during olaparib–bevacizumab maintenance. This case provides a rationale for further investigation of PD‐1 blockade as neoadjuvant therapy in carefully selected ...

Advanced Primary Cervical Carcinosarcoma With Ovarian and Peritoneal Metastases in a Premenopausal Woman: A Rare Case Report From Northern Tanzania

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Cervical carcinosarcoma (CCS), also known as malignant mixed Müllerian tumor (MMMT) of the cervix, is an exceptionally rare and aggressive biphasic neoplasm composed of both epithelial and mesenchymal malignant components. Due to its rarity, optimal management strategies are not well established, particularly in low‐resource settings.

Mixed Neuroendocrine—Non‐Neuroendocrine Neoplasm (MiNEN) of the Gallbladder. A Case Report From a Low‐Resource Setting

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Mixed neuroendocrine–non‐neuroendocrine neoplasms (MiNENs) of the gallbladder are exceedingly rare entities. We report a case of a 35‐year‐old female with a palpable right hypochondrial mass. Imaging demonstrated a large polypoid gallbladder lesion with periportal lymphadenopathy. The patient underwent open cholecystectomy with lymphadenectomy.

Low Skeletal Muscle Index Predicts Neoadjuvant Immunochemotherapy Tolerance and Survival in Oesophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesJournal of Cachexia, Sarcopenia and Muscle, Volume 17, Issue 5, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Low skeletal muscle index (SMI) may identify host vulnerability in patients receiving intensive cancer therapy. However, its association with treatment tolerance and outcomes during neoadjuvant immunochemotherapy (nICT) for oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) remains unclear.
