A Case of Refractory Lymphocele Following Living Donor Kidney Transplantation Treated With Percutaneous Balloon Fenestration Into the Peritoneal Cavity Using Interventional Radiology

open access: yesIJU Case Reports, Volume 9, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Post‐kidney transplantation lymphocele is a common complication, usually managed with percutaneous drainage, lymphangiography, or surgical fenestration. We report a refractory case successfully treated with percutaneous balloon fenestration into the peritoneal cavity using interventional radiology. Case Presentation A woman in her

VIPAR, a quantitative approach to 3D histopathology applied to lymphatic malformations. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
BACKGROUND: Lack of investigatory and diagnostic tools has been a major contributing factor to the failure to mechanistically understand lymphedema and other lymphatic disorders in order to develop effective drug and surgical therapies.

Pilot Study of Immediate Lymphatic Reconstruction (ILR) During Lymph Node Dissection for Node‐Positive Melanoma: Feasibility, Safety, and Early Outcomes

open access: yesJournal of Surgical Oncology, Volume 133, Issue 1, Page 46-53, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Lymphedema (LE) is chronic swelling due to inadequate lymphatic function, which can occur after therapeutic lymph node dissection (TLND) for melanoma. At our institution, the risk of LE is 12% for axillary and 38% for ilioinguinal lymph node dissection.

Anatomical-functional state of surface lymphatic system of lower extremities in chronic vein diseases according to fluorescence lymphograph

open access: yesBiomedical Photonics
Despite the large arsenal of diagnostic methods for studying the lymphatic system, there are isolated works on its morpho-functional state in chronic venous insufluciency.

A combined data mining approach using rough set theory and case-based reasoning in medical datasets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Case-based reasoning (CBR) is the process of solving new cases by retrieving the most relevant ones from an existing knowledge-base. Since, irrelevant or redundant features not only remarkably increase memory requirements but also the time complexity of ...

Isolated Lymphatic Injury Mimicking Bladder Rupture in a Young Male Following Blunt Trauma: A Case Report

open access: yesCase Reports in Radiology, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Blunt abdominal trauma can be difficult to evaluate, especially when an unusual injury mimics a far more common one. We present a case of a 17‐year‐old boy who was struck in the abdomen by bicycle handlebars. His initial imaging suggested a possible bladder rupture because of the presence of both intraperitoneal and extraperitoneal fluid.
