Minimal residual disease in diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma after first‐line therapy: Defining the continuum from metabolic remission to molecular clearance

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
Summary Response assessment in diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma (DLBCL) has traditionally relied on anatomical and metabolic imaging, with fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (FDG‐PET)–defined complete metabolic remission representing the principal end‐point of first‐line therapy. However, growing evidence indicates that metabolic control does

Comparative effectiveness of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T‐cell therapy versus historical controls in patients with relapse/refractory aggressive B‐cell lymphoma: An indirect treatment comparison in the real‐world setting

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
Summary Single‐arm studies demonstrate dramatic improvements in survival in patients with relapsed/refractory (R/R) aggressive B‐cell lymphomas but with significant toxicities and at exceptionally high costs. The objective of this study was to evaluate the real‐world health outcomes of aggressive B‐cell lymphoma patients treated with publicly funded ...

Response‐adapted consolidation and salvage strategies in secondary central nervous system lymphoma: Insights from a multicentre cohort

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
Summary Secondary central nervous system lymphoma (SCNSL) remains a rare but challenging manifestation of aggressive lymphomas, with limited prospective data to guide treatment decisions in the modern therapeutic era. We conducted a multicentre retrospective cohort study of 105 consecutively treated adult patients diagnosed with SCNSL between 2016 and ...

Comparative atrial fibrillation risk across Bruton's tyrosine kinase inhibitors in B‐cell malignancies: A nationwide population‐based study

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
Real‐world nationwide data in B‐cell malignancies reveal a markedly increased 1‐year incidence of hospitalized atrial fibrillation with ibrutinib compared with second‐generation Bruton's tyrosine kinase inhibitors and venetoclax, arguing for closer cardiac surveillance.

Clinical periodontal diagnosis

open access: yesPeriodontology 2000, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract Periodontal diseases include pathological conditions elicited by the presence of bacterial biofilms leading to a host response. In the diagnostic process, clinical signs such as bleeding on probing, development of periodontal pockets and gingival recessions, furcation involvement and presence of radiographic bone loss should be assessed prior ...
