Cancer Science, EarlyView.This study confirmed that hypomethylation‐induced upregulation of CD98 promoted ESCC cell proliferation by regulating the cell cycle and was correlated with poorer overall survival of ESCC patients. Combined panels of immunohistochemistry (CD98 and P53) are recommended for accurate diagnosis of esophageal precancerous lesions.
