TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Comparison of energy consumption in the convective and freeze drying of raspberries [PDF]

open access: yesJournal on Processing and Energy in Agriculture, 2017
Freeze-drying has proven to be one of the best drying processes thus far. The drying process itself lasts considerably longer than any other drying method.

End-group functionalization of poly(2-oxazoline)s using methyl bromoacetate as initiator followed by direct amidation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Poly(2-alkyl/aryl-2-oxazoline)s (PAOx) are an alluring class of polymers for many applications due to the broad chemical diversity that is accessible for these polymers by simply changing the initiator, terminating agent and the monomer(s) used in their ...

Hands‐on protocol for preparing water‐soluble fractions from agri‐food samples for NMR‐based metabolomics analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This research protocol outlines a workflow for nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)‐based metabolomics in the agri‐food sector. Using two case studies—strawberry leaves (solid matrix) and wine (liquid matrix)—it details the procedures for sample preparation, data acquisition, and processing.

From Colloidal Dispersions of Zeolite Monolayers to Effective Solid Catalysts in Transformations of Bulky Organic Molecules: Role of Freeze-Drying and Dialysis

open access: yesMolecules, 2021
We investigated the properties and catalytic activity of zeolites with MWW topology obtained by unprecedented liquid exfoliation of the MCM-56 zeolite into solutions of monolayers and isolation/reassembly of the dispersed layers by various methods, with ...

Development of a Lyophilization Process for Campylobacter Bacteriophage Storage and Transport

open access: yesMicroorganisms, 2020
Bacteriophages are a sustainable alternative to control pathogenic bacteria in the post-antibiotic era. Despite promising reports, there are still obstacles to phage use, notably titer stability and transport-associated expenses for applications in food ...
