Plant peroxidases : biochemistry and physiology [PDF]
Resistant (Reba B50) and susceptible (Acala 44) cotton plants were investigated for intratissular growth of bacterial populations and peroxidase (POx) activity, after infection of cotyledons with races 18 or 20 from #Xanthomonas (#Axonopodis$) campestris$

A novel ILs‐SnS2 flame retardant, rapidly synthesized in 80 s, enhances epoxy resin's flame retardancy (lower heat release) and mechanical properties via interface interaction, offering a new modification approach. ABSTRACT A novel flower‐shaped ionic liquid/tin disulfide flame retardant (ILs‐SnS2) was prepared using microwave hydrothermal synthesis ...

Identification and localization of calcium-dependent protease II in Neurospora crassa and Uromyces appendiculatus [PDF]
Summary: The existence of Ca2+-dependent protease II in crude extracts ofNeurospora crassa andUromyces appendiculatus was demonstrated by immunoblotting using specific antibodies. In both extracts two immunoreacting bands were observed.

Benefiting from the high activity of the reconstructed phase, suppression of the chlorine evolution reaction via dynamic desorption and re‐adsorption of leached phosphate anions, and a self‐healing capability enabled by the redeposition of trace Fe ions, along with inherent superhydrophilic–superhydrophobic properties and corrosion resistance, the ...

Advances in cholesterol and lipoproteins detection for healthcare: A review
Cholesterol is one of the main biomarkers related to the development of cardiovascular diseases. Its detection still relies on traditional methods of analysis, such as gas and liquid chromatographies. Detection of free cholesterol in saliva with redox or enzymatic sensors or detection of lipoproteins in blood with aptamer sensors are currently the most

Allergic contact dermatitis markedly impairs quality of life (QoL) across symptoms, functioning and emotional domains. Using DLQI, Skindex‐29 and EQ‐5D‐5L, our study demonstrates a substantial multidimensional burden and highlights the need for routine, patient‐centred QoL assessment in clinical management.

The contact allergy prevalence in individuals with diabetes and in diabetes medical device (MD) users is unknown. This study in 204 diabetes MD users (114 with rash to diabetes MDs, 90 without) aimed at investigating the contact allergy prevalence to baseline series allergens. Contact allergies to sesquiterpene lactone mix and myroxylon pereirae resin (
