Cu(II) and Au(III) recovery with electrospun lignosulfonate CO2-activated carbon fiber
International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, 2022The objectives of this study were twofold: developing lignosulfonate activated carbon fibers (LACFs) and determining the corresponding metal recovery mechanisms with batch experiments and non-linear modeling. LACFs were developed through electrospinning, followed by CO2-based physical activation.

Biosorption Equilibrium and Kinetics of Au(III) and Cu(II) on Magnetotactic Bacteria
Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering, 2007Abstract Magnetotactic bacteria (MTB) as biosorbents for the adsorption of Au(III) and Cu(II) ions from aqueous solution have been investigated. The optimum adsorption conditions for both metal ions were the initial pH scope of 1—5.5 for Au(III) and 2.0—4.5 for Cu(III), room temperature, biomass concentration of 10.0g·L -1 and sorption duration more

Abstract Metal-deposited polypyrrole (Ppy) with the advantage of enhanced conductivities and catalysis has aroused interest in interactions between metal and Ppy. Recently, a Ppy-based NOx− sensor was found to be susceptible to interference from cations of Ag(I), Cu(II) and Pb(II) — hinting at a strong interaction between cation and Ppy.

Abstract Sheep wool as biosorbent materials was chemically modified by NaOH, Na2S, NaHSO3, and NaBH4 solution. The adsorption amounts of Au(III) were increased after the chemical treatment and the adsorption capacity of the chemically treated wool were performed in the following order; Na2S treated wool > NaBH4 treated wool > NaOH treated wool ...
