Supergravity and M-theory [PDF]

open access: yesGeneral Relativity and Gravitation, 2009
Supergravity provides the effective field theories for string compactifications. The deformation of the maximal supergravities by non-abelian gauge interactions is only possible for a restricted class of charges. Generically these `gaugings' involve a hierarchy of p-form fields which belong to specific representations of the duality group.

Charge transport, information scrambling and quantum operator-coherence in a many-body system with U(1) symmetry

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
In this work, we derive an exact hydrodynamical description for the coupled, charge and operator dynamics, in a quantum many-body system with U(1) symmetry. Using an emergent symmetry in the complex Brownian SYK model with charge conservation, we map the

CONCEPTS “MONUMENTAL” AND “MINIATURE” IN ART: HISTORY AND MODERNITY

open access: yesStudia Universitatis Babeş-Bolyai. Musica, 2021
The article deals with the issue about the relationship between the notions of “monumental” and “miniature” in various types of art. A very conditional division of these notions is noted.

Multilayer Network Optimization for 5G & 6G

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Mobile communications are growing and the number of users is constantly increasing at an accelerated rate, as well as the demand for the services they request. In the last few years, many efforts have focused on the design and deployment of the new fifth

Kondo effects in small-bandgap carbon nanotube quantum dots

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Nanotechnology, 2020
We study the magnetoconductance of small-bandgap carbon nanotube quantum dots in the presence of spin–orbit coupling in the strong-correlations regime. A finite-U slave-boson mean-field approach is used to study many-body effects.

On M-Theory [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Astrophysics and Astronomy, 1999
This contribution gives a personal view on recent attempts to find a unified framework for non-perturbative string theories, with special emphasis on the hidden symmetries of supergravity and their possible role in this endeavor. A reformulation of $d=11$ supergravity with enlarged tangent space symmetry SO(1,2) $\times$ SO(16) is discussed from this ...

Basics of M‐theory [PDF]

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, 2005
AbstractThis is a review article of eleven dimensional supergravity in which we present all necessary calculations, namely the Noether procedure, the equations of motion (without neglecting the fermions), the Killing spinor equation, as well as some simple and less simple supersymmetric solutions to this theory.

Existence of a supersymmetric massless ground state of the SU(N) matrix model globally on its valleys

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
In this work we consider the existence and uniqueness of the ground state of the regularized Hamiltonian of the Supermembrane in dimensions D = 4, 5, 7 and 11, or equivalently the SU(N) Matrix Model. That is, the 0+1 reduction of the 10-dimensional SU(N)
