Effect of Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis (MAP) infection on the diagnostic accuracy for Mycobacterium bovis (M. bovis) infection under field conditions in cattle belonging to low M. bovis prevalence herds

Tropical Animal Health and Production, 2017
Currently, the Chilean authority has implemented a National Eradication Program for bovine tuberculosis (bTB), aimed at controlling and eradicating the disease in Chile. The area under study has a low within-herd prevalence, has a relatively low number of infected herds, and is one of the major milk and beef producing areas in the country.

Studies on Film Production and its Specific Inhibition, with Special Reference to Mycoplasma bovis (M. agalactiae var. bovis

Zentralblatt für Veterinärmedizin Reihe B, 2010
Summary Film inhibition by field and laboratory antisera to Mycoplasma bovis was examined using disc or liquid film inhibition tests. Sera from naturally infected animals produced film inhibition but sera prepared in the laboratory generally showed weak or no activity. Film inhibition is independent of metabolic or growth inhibition.

Potency of PPD preparations derived from M. tuberculosis and M. bovis.

Annales immunologiae Hungaricae, 1980
No significant difference was found between the biological activity of PPD-preparations derived from M. tuberculosis and M. bovis, although the latter was more potent. In potency tests performed in guinea-pigs, the use of difference mycobacteria as sensitizing agents had no influence on the result of the assay.
