Atomic overlaps, molecular orbitals and vibrational transformation in the polyhedral clusters M12(Oh) and M12(Ih)

Journal of Molecular Structure: THEOCHEM, 1992
Abstract Explicit, mutually orthogonal and normalized molecular orbitals, up to and including d atomic orbitals and four- and five-fold degenerate (Gg,u and Hg,u) irreducible representations in Ih groups, are obtained by computer-adapted methods for M12 clusters of Oh, and Ih symmetry, using B12H122− and [Rh12Sb(CO)27]3− as examples. Similar computer

Symmetry analysis of the electronic structure of polyhedron clusters M12(Ih), M12(Oh) and M60(Ih)

Journal of Molecular Structure: THEOCHEM, 1991
Abstract Computer programs are written to generate symmetry-adapted molecular orbitals and exact geometric relationships for atomic overlap integrals for polyhedral clusters with many vertices: M12(cuboctahedron, Oh), M12(icosahedron, Ih) and M60(icosahedron, Ih).

The Mathieu group M12

Mathematical Notes of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, 1974
Let G be a finite simple non-Abelian group. t is an involution of G, and L=O2 (CG(t)/O · (CG(t))). K the center Z(L) is cyclic and L/Z(L)-PGL (2, q), q odd, then either a Sylow 2-subgroup of G is semidihedral or CG(t)Z2×PGL (2.5) and G is isomorphic to the Mathieu group M12 of degree 12.

The pyrimidine catalogs of M12 and R17 ribonucleic acids

Journal of Molecular Biology, 1968
Abstract The RNA's from the bacteriophages M12 and R17, were digested with pancreatic ribonuclease to yield pyrimidine mononucleotides and pyrimidineterminated oligonucleotides. All the non-isomeric digestion products were separated by ion exchange chromatography.

Interference of bacteriophage T4 in the reproduction of RNA-phage M12

Journal of Molecular Biology, 1967
Abstract The RNA-phage M12 is excluded from producing progeny phage following mixed infection with phage T4 (or with T4 am mutants). A small fraction of the infected cells produce some M12 (“escape yielders”), but the burst size is drastically reduced. The failure of most cells to liberate M12 is not due to an inhibition of lysis.

M12-Steckverbinder für die Leistungsübertragung

Konstruktion, 2017

Secondary structure of RNA phage M12 replicative intermediates in vivo

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Nucleic Acids and Protein Synthesis, 1973
Abstract The double strandedness of in vivo pulse-labelled phage M12 Replicative Form (RF) and Replicative Intermediate (RI) RNA was determined (1) in crude extracts of an RNAase I − and III − Escherichia coli strain and (2) subsequent to deproteinization by the phenol procedure. When assayed by two different methods, i.e.

Base sequences of polypurine regions of the RNA's of bacteriophages R17 and M12

Journal of Molecular Biology, 1970
Abstract Most of the large oligonucleotides arising from pancreatic ribonuclease digestion of R17 and M12 RNA's have been isolated and sequenced. The majority of the R17 and M12 RNA sequences are identical or similar and some are also identical with reported MS2 RNA sequences. The data strongly imply that these three RNA's are almost identical.
