A [3]Rotaxane Containing {Ti7Ga} Rings Linking CuII: Synthesis, Structure, and Spectroscopic Studies

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Extended hybrid inorganic‐organic [2]‐ and [3]‐rotaxanes are reported based on heterometallic rings with threads that link CuII complexes; the crystal structures are reported, and the solution behavior is investigated by double electron electron resonance spectroscopy methods.

Expanding the chemical diversity of M13 bacteriophage

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2022
Bacteriophage M13 virions are very stable nanoparticles that can be modified by chemical and genetic methods. The capsid proteins can be functionalized in a variety of chemical reactions without loss of particle integrity. In addition, Genetic Code Expansion (GCE) permits the introduction of non-canonical amino acids (ncAAs) into displayed peptides and

Enhancing hydrogen evolution reaction by harnessing bubble dynamics regulation: Principles, methods, and outlook

open access: yesDroplet, EarlyView.
Bubble dynamics pose critical bottlenecks to hydrogen evolution reaction efficiency, causing active site isolation, increased ohmic resistance, and concentration overpotential, especially at high current densities. This review comprehensively summarizes passive and active bubble manipulation strategies, elucidates their underlying principles, and ...

Factors Influencing the Purchase of Energy-Efficient Appliances by Young Consumers in South Africa

open access: yesFoundations of Management, 2020
Household appliances are the biggest contributor to household energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions. One of the ways to reduce emissions and conserve energy is to increase the use of energy-efficient appliances (EEAs).

Modulation of antibody display on M13 filamentous phage

open access: yes, 1998
Here we describe a phage vector for the display of single chain antibodies and polypeptides on the surface of filamentous M13 phage which permits facile manipulation of the valency of display.

Considerations for drug trials in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 1095-1112, April 2025.
Abstract Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is a heterogeneous condition with potentially serious manifestations. Management has traditionally comprised therapies to palliate symptoms and implantable cardioverter‐defibrillators to prevent sudden cardiac death. The need for disease‐modifying therapies has been recognized for decades.

Orthogonal nanoarchitectonics of M13 phage for receptor targeted anticancer photodynamic therapy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) represents a promising therapeutic modality for cancer. Here we used an orthogonal nanoarchitectonics approach (genetic/chemical) to engineer M13 bacteriophages as targeted vectors for efficient photodynamic killing of cancer ...

Bridging Bystander Intervention and Workplace Inclusion: The Critical Role of Perceived Fairness, Support, and Safety

open access: yesJournal of Organizational Behavior, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Bystander intervention is widely assumed to foster workplace inclusion, yet no studies have directly examined this relationship. Through abductive qualitative analysis of 53 interviews across two contrasting organisations—a consulting firm and a remote mine site—we investigate how bystander intervention relates to workplace inclusion for ...
