Cellular internalization mechanism and intracellular trafficking of filamentous M13 phages displaying a cell-penetrating transbody and TAT peptide. [PDF]
Cellular internalization of bacteriophage by surface-displayed cell penetrating peptides has been reported, though the underlying mechanism remains elusive.

A standard approach to tropism variation in M13 bacteriophage [PDF]
openAntibiotic resistance is a globally recognized issue of great concern. While research for novel antibiotics races against evolution to find effective molecules, the scientific community is looking for new possible approaches to face this problem ...

Studies on Bacteriophage M13 DNA. 2. The Gene Order of the M13 Genome [PDF]
The double-stranded replicative form DNA of bacteriophage M13 was cleaved into 13 specific fragments by the restriction endonuclease from Haemophilus aphirophilus. The individual DNA fragments from wild-type replicative form molecules were then annealed to circular, single-stranded DNAs of phage M13, bearing amber mutations as genetic markers.

Studies on Bacteriophage M13 DNA. 1. A Cleavage Map of the M13 Genome [PDF]
A physical map of the bacteriophage M13 genome has been constructed on the basis of specific cleavage of M13 replicative form DNA by bacterial restriction endonucleases. The 13 fragments produced by the enzyme from Haemophilus aphirophilus (endonuclease R.Hap II) as well as the 10 fragments produced by the enzyme from Haemophilus aegyptius ...

Cryo-EM structure of a bacteriophage M13 mini variant
Filamentous bacteriophages package their circular, single stranded DNA genome with the major coat protein pVIII and the minor coat proteins pIII, pVII, pVI, and pIX.

The M13 Phage Assembly Machine Has a Membrane-Spanning Oligomeric Ring Structure
Bacteriophage M13 assembles its progeny particles in the inner membrane of the host. The major component of the assembly machine is G1p and together with G11p it generates an oligomeric structure with a pore-like inner cavity and an ATP hydrolysing ...

A single M13 bacteriophage color sensor was previously utilized for discriminating the geographical origins of agricultural products (garlic, onion, and perilla). The resulting discrimination accuracy was acceptable, ranging from 88.6% to 94.0%.

Conformations of the Single-Stranded DNA of Bacteriophage M13 [PDF]
At least two conformations of M13 single-stranded DNA have been demonstrated by measuring differences in sedimentation coefficient and by direct visualization in the electron microscope. Which form is obtained from infected cells and/or intact phage depends on the pH, ionic strength, and temperature.
