Aviation, space, and environmental medicine, 1998There are very few data available on the effects of respiratory protective masks on sleep. This study was to undertaken to investigate the effects of the M-40 protective mask on sleep architecture. We asked 21 healthy volunteers (18-35 yr) to participate in a two-night study.

M40/A404 Junction High Wycombe Buckinghamshire
2002In March and April 2002, Oxford Archaeology carried out an archaeological watching brief on a geotechnical exercise at the junction of the M40/A404 High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. The watching brief revealed undisturbed buried topsoil below deposits used to construct the road embankments.

M40 Junction 12, Gaydon, Warwickshire: Archaeological Evaluation
2014Geophysical survey and trial trenching were undertaken in order to determine if the proposed improvements to M40 Junction 12 would have an archaeological impact. The results were entirely negative although a small area of proposed disturbance has yet to be evaluated.

Pavement construction on the M40 Banbury Bypass Contract 4
Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers - Transport, 1993The M40 Banbury Bypass Contract 4 overlies coal deposits of sufficient size and at a depth that would make mining at a later date possible. The pavement was, therefore, designed with this in mind and a continuously reinforced concrete roadbase was specified as the solution most likely to resist possible future settlement problems.
