Age determination of the open cluster NGC 2287 (M41)

open access: yesAstrophysics and Space Science, 1988
We have estimated the age of the open cluster NGC 2287 (M41) by taking into account the rotation of the member stars.

Improving the wear resistance of M41 steel by nitrogen alloying and ESR

Materials Characterization, 2007
Abstract AISI M41 high-speed steel (HSS) is considered as a super-hard tool steel due to high hardness level (65–70 HRC). Nitrogen alloying of AISI M41 HSS produces marked solid solution hardening and precipitation strengthening in addition to an improvement in pitting resistance.

Physicochemical, bioactive and rheological properties of an exopolysaccharide produced by a probiotic Pediococcus pentosaceus M41

Carbohydrate Polymers, 2020
This study aimed to investigate the physicochemical properties, health-promoting benefits and rheological properties of an EPS produced by a novel probiotic Pediococcus pentosaceus M41 isolated from a marine source. P. pentosaceus M41 was able to produce an EPS with average molecular weight of 682.07 kDa.

M41 and Non-M41 UBA1 Variants Differ in Their Alteration of Hematopoiesis

Blood, 2023
Background: UBA1 variants have recently been described as causative to the somatic hematoinflammatory disease VEXAS Syndrome. Previously, the features of M41 and non-M41 variants regarding their diagnoses and inflammatory transcriptome in comparison to other patients (pts) diagnosed with hematological malignancies (HM) have been ...

The use of M41S materials in chiral HPLC

Chemical Communications, 1999
Siliceous MCM-41 and MCM-48, covalently linked with the chiral selector (R)-naphthylethylamine, have been evaluated as supports in chiral HPLC and show for several racemates higher separation factors than for a stationary phase based on amorphous silica.

Spectroscopic Investigations of Mesoporous M41S Silica Phases

MRS Proceedings, 1994
AbstractMesoporous silica phases of the M41S type were investigated by SiK XANES spectroscopy and the results compared with the information provided by 29Si MAS NMR spectroscopy. The results show that the pore walls are more ordered than in “truly” amorphous silica phases (as, e.g., glass) and indicate a relationship of their structure to layered ...
