ABSTRACT Purpose Although not always achieved, complete chemotherapy‐induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) control is the conventional goal of CINV prophylaxis. In this two‐center, mixed‐methods study, we sought to understand the preferences of adolescent patients and family caregivers for CINV control endpoints.

For an $n_t$ transmit, $n_r$ receive antenna system ($n_t \times n_r$ system), a {\it{full-rate}} space time block code (STBC) transmits $n_{min} = min(n_t,n_r)$ complex symbols per channel use.

Inpatient Food Insecurity and Pediatric Hematology Oncology Hospitalization Outcomes
ABSTRACT Children with cancer and blood disorders are at risk for food insecurity (FI). We aimed to describe the association of inpatient food insecurity (IFI) and hospitalization outcomes among patients admitted to the pediatric hematology oncology service. Of 325 caregivers screened for IFI, 60 (18.6%) screened positive.

Batch codes from Hamming and Reed-Muller codes
Batch codes, introduced by Ishai et al., encode a string $x \in \Sigma^{k}$ into an $m$-tuple of strings, called buckets. In this paper we consider multiset batch codes wherein a set of $t$-users wish to access one bit of information each from the original string. We introduce a concept of optimal batch codes.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Let p ≠ 3 be any prime. The structures of all λ-constacyclic codes of length 3ps over the finite commutative chain ring Fpm + uFpm (u2 = 0) are established in the term of their generator polynomials.

The Minimum Distance of Some Narrow-Sense Primitive BCH Codes
Due to wide applications of BCH codes, the determination of their minimum distance is of great interest. However, this is a very challenging problem for which few theoretical results have been reported in the last four decades.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Some New Classes of Entanglement-Assisted Quantum MDS Codes Derived From Constacyclic Codes
Although quantum maximal-distance-separable (MDS) codes that satisfy the quantum singleton bound have become an important research topic in the quantum coding theory, it is not an easy task to search for quantum MDS codes with the minimum distance that ...

Protograph Designing of P-LDPC Codes via M3 Method
Recently, a mesh model-based merging (M3) method and four basic graph models were proposed to construct the double protograph low-density parity-check (P-LDPC) code pair of the joint source channel coding (JSCC). Designing the protograph (mother code) of
