Predictive ecological niche model for Cinnamomum parthenoxylon (Jack) Meisn. (Lauraceae) from Last Glacial Maximum to future in Vietnam [PDF]
Cinnamomum parthenoxylon (Jack) Meisn. is a tree in genus Cinnamomum that has been facing global threats due to forest degradation and habitat fragmentation. Many recent studies aim to describe habitats and assess population and species genetic diversity

CR-MAC: Cooperative Relaying MAC Protocol for VANETs
In this paper, a novel cooperative relaying medium access control (CR-MAC) protocol is proposed for vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs). Three data transmission modes have been offered to increase the throughput which are direct transmission (DT), cooperative relaying (CR) and multi-hop relaying (MHR).

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

An analytical model of contention in wireless sensor networks using tree routing
Presently, the focus of current research on Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) is predominantly on contention at the MAC layer, overlooking the traffic characteristics of upper-layer traffic, especially the interaction with the routing traffic.
