On the Macedonian literary language and its dialectal base

The Macedonian literary language is spoken in the Republic of Macedonia, one of the six republics of former S.F.R. Yugoslavia. This standard language was created in the middle of the 20th century, at the end of the World War II. Hence, Macedonian literary language has become the youngest member of the family of Slavic literary languages.
