The depth and brightness of the concept of ‘variegated’ became the source of the polysemy of terms that are used as attributes. This article proposes to analyze and describe the cases of the most frequent way to designate multi-colored in the Macedonian language. Such a term becomes a derivative from the common Balkan root ‘šara’.
