A simulative evaluation of triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) structures for an elastocaloric application under compressive load is performed. For the evaluation of the structure's performance, surface/volume ratio, generated heat and invested mechanical work are taken into account and are compared to a tube as a reference specimen.

Reliable Tissue Grasping in Robotic Minimally Invasive Surgery Enabled by Optical‐Based Slip Sensing
An optical‐based slip sensing method using a complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor image sensor with a built‐in infrared light emitting diode enables real‐time detection of tissue slippage—including displacement, direction, and speed—in robotic minimally invasive surgery.

Laser remelting of a CrMnFeCoNi high‐entropy alloy reveals that optimal chemical homogenization occurs between 30 and 40 J·mm−2. Within this range, elemental segregation is reduced by over 30% compared to the as‐cast state. The study establishes this window as a fast, effective alternative to prolonged annealing for achieving uniform elemental ...

Machine Translationness: a Concept for Machine Translation Evaluation and Detection

Adaptation in Machine Translation
Statistical machine translation (SMT) has emerged as the currently most promising approach for machine translation. One limitation to date, however, is that the quality of SMT systems strongly depends on the similarity between the training data and its deployment.

A multifunctional hydroxyapatite (HAp) coating integrated with silver‐gallium liquid metal nanoparticles (HAp‐Ag‐GaNPs) exhibits dual antibacterial and osteogenic properties. It effectively inhibits Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria, including resistant strains, while enhancing bone regeneration.
