Analysis of the Induction Machine Parameter Identification
IEEE Power Engineering Review, 2002This paper analyzes the numerical identifiability of the electrical parameters of induction machines. Formulations of the single-and double-cage induction machine, with and without core-losses in both models, are developed. It is shown the impossibility to identify all the parameters of these models when only external measurements (voltage, current ...

Parameter Identification of an Induction Machine for Diagnosis
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1997Abstract this paper presents an identification method achieving estimation of induction machine electrical parameters. Originality of this work holds in the machine model used. It is a non-linear continuous time model defined in the (abc) frame, whose parameters are not dependent on rotor position.

Estimating the Parameters of Induction Machines at Standstill
IEEE Power Engineering Review, 2002This paper discusses a method to determine the continuous-time parameters of induction machines which are necessary to implement the field-oriented control strategy. This method does not require the use of any mechanical devices or speed measurement and it is conceived to be used in the drive auto-commissioning phase.

Identification of machine parameters of a synchronous motor
38th IAS Annual Meeting on Conference Record of the Industry Applications Conference, 2003., 2004This paper presents a method for estimating the machine parameters of a synchronous motor. The presented method is equally applicable for a wound field synchronous motor, synchronous reluctance motor, or permanent magnet (PM) synchronous motor, both the interior and surface-mount types.

Machine parameters for numerical analysis
1977The general acceptance of conventions for basic linear algebra modules suggests that an effort will soon be made to establish similar conventions for machine dependent parameters and constants. This paper suggests basic concepts and principles which might guide such an effort and raises questions which must be adequately addressed if such an effort is ...

Influence of machining parameters on microdrill performance
International Journal of Manufacturing Technology and Management, 2011There is an increasing interest in microdrilling of metallic and other miniaturised components. Drill breakage is the most prevalent problem with microdrill that possesses high length-to-diameter ratio. In this paper, finite element modelling approach is used to determine the buckling load of a microdrill while drilling metallic components.

A support vector machine with integer parameters
Neurocomputing, 2008We describe here a method for building a support vector machine (SVM) with integer parameters. Our method is based on a branch-and-bound procedure, derived from modern mixed integer quadratic programming solvers, and is useful for implementing the feed-forward phase of the SVM in fixed-point arithmetic.

Induction machine drive parameters estimation
IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, 2003A mathematical method to estimate the basic parameters of induction machines, based on available performance characteristics, is described in this paper. The problems associated with the parameter estimation are analyzed through sensitivity functions. The main feature of the proposed procedure is the possibility to estimate the parameters without the ...

Scaling Factorization Machines with Parameter Server
Proceedings of the 25th ACM International on Conference on Information and Knowledge Management, 2016Factorization Machines (FM) have been recognized as an effective learning paradigm for incorporating complex relations to improve item recommendation in recommender systems. However, one open issue of FM lies in its factorized representation (latent factors) for each feature in the observed feature space, a characteristic often resulting in a large ...
