Influence of Cutting Parameters and MQL on Surface Finish and Work Hardening of Inconel 617
Inconel 617 is a nickel-based superalloy that is a primary candidate for use in next-generation nuclear applications such as the Gen IV Molten Salt Reactor (MSR) and Very-High-Temperature Reactor (VHTR) due to its corrosion and oxidation resistance and ...

CONDITIONS OF REDUCED COST FOR MACHINE-BUILDING PRODUCTS [PDF]
The mathematical model for the cost of processing of machine parts was developed and the conditions for its reduction were determined. Analytically established the existence of a minimum of the cost of processing which achieved at high cutting speeds ...

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Enhancing the machining performance by cutting tool surface modifications: a focused review
In machining, cutting tools suffer from severe surface wear, especially in the cutting of difficult-to-cut materials. A major cause of tool wear is the friction generated at the tool-work and tool-chip interfaces, which produces a great deal of ...

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...
