Beamforming for heterogeneous cloud radio access network

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2019
To overcome the problem that previous researches for heterogeneous cloud radio access network (H-CRAN) mainly focus on single macro cell, and only considered the intracell interference in the one macro cell, while the inter cell interferences among ...

Impact of Salinity on Growth Rate, Physiology, Elemental Composition, and NHX1 Gene Expression of Almond (Prunus dulcis) Cultivars [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Nuts
In almonds (Prunus dulcis), selecting salt-tolerant rootstocks and genotypes is an appropriate breeding strategy. In the present research, we grafted two commercial almond cultivars (‘Sahand’ and ‘TS3’) on the ‘GF677’ rootstock.

Fatigue Crack Initiation and Growth in Nanocrystalline Ni at Multiple Length‐Scales

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Overview of miniaturized in situ SEM fatigue setup and resultant fatigue crack growth data for nanocrystalline Ni. The presented study focuses on the analysis of fatigue crack growth rate (FCGR) in focused ion beam‐notched microcantilevers prepared from nanocrystalline (NC) Ni as a model material.

Micro-Expression Recognition Based on Nodal Efficiency in the EEG Functional Networks

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Neural Systems and Rehabilitation Engineering
Micro-expression recognition based on ima- ges has made some progress, yet limitations persist. For instance, image-based recognition of micro-expressions is affected by factors such as ambient light, changes in head posture, and facial occlusion.

Weak Supervision with Arbitrary Single Frame for Micro- and Macro-expression Spotting

open access: yesCoRR
Frame-level micro- and macro-expression spotting methods require time-consuming frame-by-frame observation during annotation. Meanwhile, video-level spotting lacks sufficient information about the location and number of expressions during training, resulting in significantly inferior performance compared with fully-supervised spotting.

Atmospheric neutrino induced muons in the MACRO detector

open access: yes, 1999
A measurement of the flux of neutrino-induced muons using the MACRO detector is presented. Different event topologies, corresponding to different neutrino parent energies can be detected. The upward throughgoing muon sample is larger event sample.

Microstructure Reconstruction in Battery Electrodes Using Machine Learning Based on Low‐Voltage Focused Ion Beam–Scanning Electron Microscopy Tomography Images

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐voltage FIB‐SEM tomography combined with a image preprocessing pipeline improves phase contrast and enables reliable machine‐learning segmentation of conductive networks in lithium‐ion battery electrodes. Structural descriptors are extracted from segmented images, done semimanually and automated, and compared.

Influence of Geometric Design on Mechanical Performance of Auxetic Metastructure

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Strategic geometric reinforcement transforms auxetic performance. This study evaluates 3D‐printed arrowhead metastructures, revealing that a modified design with local ring reinforcement suppresses premature failure to achieve superior energy absorption and structural efficiency.

Study of the cosmic ray primary composition at E0 ~ 1000 TeV by EAS-TOP and MACRO at Gran Sasso

open access: yes, 1994
An analysis of the coincident deep underground muon data and of the e.m. component of Extensive Air Showers (EAS) as measured by the MACRO and EAS-TOP experiments at Gran Sasso is presented. Constraints on the primary cosmic ray composition are obtained,

Oxygen‐Tunnel Indium Tin Oxide Vertical Channel Transistors with Enhanced Current Density and Reliability for Monolithic 3D Compute‐In‐Memory Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Oxygen‐tunnel (OT) indium tin oxide (ITO) vertical channel transistors (VCTs) enable reliable, high‐density gain‐cell memory for monolithic 3D integration. A sandwiched SiN/SiO2/SiN OT stack selectively regulates oxygen transport, suppressing parasitic electrode oxidation while stabilizing channel oxygen vacancies, thereby suppressing carrier injection
